Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small records a site can send with browser requests. Local storage is a separate browser feature that keeps data on your device. Both can remember preferences, so this policy describes both. Our current site uses local storage to remember your cookie decision and does not set an application cookie.
Current storage inventory
| Name and type | Purpose and provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|
rp-cookie-consent-v1Local storage · essential preference | First-party record of your action, policy version and expiry. Remembers your privacy choice; no visitor identifier. | Valid for 180 days; checked on each visit. Removed when expired on a later visit or when you clear site data. |
No analytics, functional-personalisation or advertising cookie services are installed. The reader-rating endpoint uses server-side records for rate limiting, not a browser tracking cookie. Fonts and artwork are hosted locally.
Cookie categories
Essential
The consent record remembers your privacy decision. It is written only after you choose an option and is not used for marketing.
Analytics
Analytics can measure visits and interactions. No analytics service or analytics cookies are currently used.
Functional
Optional functional storage can remember personalised site features. No such service is currently used; the menu and page controls work without it.
Advertising
Advertising storage can track interests or referrals across visits. No advertising pixels or advertising cookies are currently used. Paid editorial content does not by itself install an advertising tracker.
Manage or withdraw your choice
No first-visit consent banner is shown because no optional trackers are installed. The preferences panel offers Accept All and Reject All with equal prominence. At present there are no optional services to enable, so Accept All and Reject All both leave optional tracking off. The settings panel identifies unavailable categories rather than asking you to consent to unspecified future tools.
Select Reject All in the settings panel to replace an earlier acceptance. The footer’s Cookie Settings link is available on every page. If optional services are added later, this inventory and the consent version must be updated and a new choice obtained before those services run.
Browser controls and unavailable storage
You can delete this site’s data in your browser privacy settings. This removes the saved decision and a saved choice is no longer available. If local storage is blocked, your choice works for the current page but may not persist; a message will explain this. With JavaScript disabled, the site loads no optional tracking and these interactive controls are unavailable.
Visiting an external link may allow that destination to use its own cookies. Its policy and controls apply there. For other data handling, read the Privacy Policy.
